Meowademy is a free, no-account learning site. We try to collect as little as possible. Here is the full list.

What we collect

• Anonymous page views via self-hosted Matomo at analytics.kitsuneden.net. We see: which lessons get visited, browser/OS family, country (not city), and where you came from (referrer). Your IP is anonymized before storage. We do not use tracking cookies. We honor your browser's Do Not Track signal.
• Standard web server logs on the VPS hosting this site (Apache access logs). These contain timestamped IPs, requested URLs, user-agent strings. Rotated and discarded regularly. Used only for debugging and abuse mitigation.

What we do not collect

• Names, emails, accounts, passwords ~ Meowademy has no login
• Payment info ~ Meowademy is free, no payments are processed
• Cross-site behavior ~ no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no third-party trackers of any kind
• Contents of your editor ~ what you type stays in your browser unless you click Run (see below)

What lives in your browser only

Your lesson progress (which lessons you completed, hints used, medals earned) is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. We can't see it. Use the Reset Progress button in the sidebar to clear it.

One third-party: play.rust-lang.org

When you click Run on a lesson, the code in your editor is sent to play.rust-lang.org (the official Rust Playground) for compilation and execution. Their privacy policy governs that interaction. We do not log or store your code on our side.

Cookies

Meowademy does not set any cookies. Matomo runs in cookieless mode.

Children

Meowademy is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age. (Because we don't ask.)

Changes

If this policy changes meaningfully, the date at the top updates and the prior version stays in git history.
